Lost and Found
About a month ago, I felt it was time to delete my myspace account. Something that once was a harmless pastime and a venue for socializing, somehow morphed into an unwanted source of stress in my life. I felt the best way to remedy the situation was to simply pull the plug on my myspace activity, and I did. As the weeks went on, I felt as if something were missing...I quickly implimented a 3 point evaluation to assess my situation.
1. Stress levels are down? Check.
2. No more stumbling across fake, stratigically placed comments intended to do social damage? Check.
3. No more drama about who's on my top friends list? Check.
So what was I missing? What was the positive addition myspace had given to me? And then the other night as I sat watching the Olympics my question was answered. Stirred with great emotion at the triumph of Nastia Lukin (USA Gymnast) winning the Gold, I felt a surge of excitement and emotion that I needed to share in the form of a blog. Then and there it hit me, by deleting myspace I had accidentally cut off another vitial part of me; My ability and need to blog. I have thoughts and opinions...STRONG opinions and they need to be expressed. So this site is like a breath of fresh air. I can blog, vent and chronical my thoughts, minus the social drama.
Sounds like a win-win situation to me!!
